What a wonderful article to read in this week’s Hampshire Chronicle! The quality of life in Winchester is so good that new life expectancy figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) show that women can expect to live an average of 86.3 years, the fifth highest in the UK. There is no doubt that living here has so many benefits, for a start you are a mere 5/10 minute walk from the city centre to the most beautiful areas of nature, wildlife and the River Itchen. Not to mention being surrounded by history in every direction, the excellent choice of primary and secondary schools, one of the best rated Sixth Form Colleges in the UK, being spoilt for choice for award winning pubs and restaurants, a multitude of independent shops and cafes, plus you are within 40 minutes drive of the coast and the outstanding New Forest.
Winchester has also been voted one of the happiest places to live in the UK by Rightmove this week, and was voted the 2nd best place to live in Hampshire by Muddy Stillettos in September.
Do get in touch and find out more. I grew up and raised my children here, there’s not much I don’t know about this beautiful City!
