From South East London to Winchester

We were on the lookout for the perfect place to move out of SE London ahead of our eldest child entering the school system and landed on Winchester. This was a decision made after much research and being thoroughly charmed after a few visits. That said, we were totally lacking in the local knowledge of the area and local connections that are so crucial for a move, so we enlisted the help of Kate after finding her on the Life After London Facebook group. I spoke with some of Kate’s previous clients who vouched she was invaluable in their own Hampshire searches. Moving back to Winchester from London

I recently moved back to Winchester after living in London for a number of years. I was aware that finding a family home in the Winchester area is not easy and, in the post lockdown era, it is even more challenging. I knew I needed a search agent to help right from the start. Kate was recommended to me by friends and I am delighted to recommend her myself. Kate readily understood my property needs and gave clear advice on the market.  Her knowledge of the area is huge. She was very good at suggesting properties and explaining their potential. She was very reliable, efficient and incredibly prompt when responding to me. Move driven by lockdown

We decided to make a move from Surrey to Hampshire at a time when it seemed that the whole of London had decided to leave the city for a more rural lifestyle. Every house had gone under offer before it was even posted, and the market was swamped with cash buyers. The idea of a property search consultant had never been something I thought I would ever consider, I thought that was for corporate relocations, or for rich people who just wanted to outsource hassle. At the same time, I knew we had no chance of moving unless we did something different. I contacted Kate because I had stumbled across some lovely reviews about her online and initially just wanted a chat. She was friendly, informed, to the point, empathetic and very genuine and I felt an immediate rapport with her. We ended up asking her to help us and today is exactly one year to the day since we moved into the most wonderful family home, a home we would never have found without her.

Ageing Parents needing to downsize

In search of the perfect family home

We approached Goosechase after the property we were buying fell through. Unfortunately for us this was at an incredibly buoyant time in the market when it was hard just to get a viewing let alone have an offer accepted.
